How to leverage the Instagram Series feature - even if you don’t have it yet

Show notes

Instagram is rolling out its new Series feature — but the real opportunity isn’t the feature itself.

It’s the shift behind it.

We’re moving from content that constantly has to fight for attention to formats people recognize, anticipate and actively come back for.

In this episode, I’m breaking down how to leverage that shift even if you don’t have the Series feature yet — by thinking less like a content creator and more like a producer.

We’ll talk about:

– Why putting “Episode 1, 2, 3” on your usual content misses the point – The shift from attention to anticipation – How Brand Shows can turn content into recognizable intellectual property – The 3 signs your brand would benefit from having its own show – The 3 questions to start finding your Brand Show concept

Because by the time everyone has the feature, your show should already exist.

Show transcript

00:00:00: Call me dramatic, but I think we're going to look back at twenty-twenty six as the year.

00:00:04: personal brands start just creating content and started creating shows.

00:00:08: And you already see that coming with Instagram series feature already being rolled out.

00:00:13: We see this change in this chance Already right inside because there is something about a serious feature Much more than just a new feature on Instagram.

00:00:25: It shows us how consumption behavior already changed because the matter or instagram is reacting to that and at the same time, How much more it will change in next couple of months?

00:00:38: Because remember, Instagram introducing reels A few years ago.

00:00:42: What a big change That meant!

00:00:44: How we create content, consume content.

00:00:48: And I see this thing coming for series features.

00:00:51: It's not a new cute thing on Instagram, it is going to shape the landscape in big way.

00:00:57: And no matter if you have this series feature already or waiting for like I do… So i don't have either right now!

00:01:06: You can leverage that because its not about features itself.

00:01:11: The Feature.

00:01:12: It's more or less a signal.

00:01:13: And of course we want to have it, but at the same time no matter if you already have it or not... ...it already gives you that change to rethink your entire content Not in a way like oh there is new format and now I need to adapt and play after rules.

00:01:30: But stop thinking as a content creator thinking like a producer, because the way most people will use their new series feature is in a way they would categorize that content.

00:01:43: They'll create content as they used to do and learn it over years – It's a habit!

00:01:49: The human brain sticks to habits which are so heavy and challenging to break habits… Which I know many of you will stick with And they will just slap episode one, two three and seven on their regular content.

00:02:04: Which might sound nice because having something like a season or an episode okay though it sounds great but at the same time its boring AF.

00:02:14: They are losing massive potential!

00:02:17: It's big chance for you to really leverage this feature and become known in your topic that we've never seen before until end of year.

00:02:28: Because over years, what was the case?

00:02:31: We learned how to create hooks.

00:02:33: Retention rates were the focus, shorter videos faster cuts more dopamine.

00:02:38: everyone is creating content for a two second attention span which might sound right.

00:02:44: Right because when we have a look at what we see online it's like everything is short.

00:02:50: Everything is fast!

00:02:51: We need to hook people in the first few seconds text hook, we need to have all of these things.

00:02:59: To get people who watch our content which is true as long as every single of your content pieces has to fight for its own.

00:03:09: when Every single of you're content pieces isn't a state off.

00:03:12: Oh I Need to hook People in so they want to read They want You what?

00:03:17: What i actually created over hours maybe.

00:03:20: but if you Have something and then We had the big Big Big chance in the rethinking from content creator to producer, where people are like oh I know this and i love it.

00:03:33: Oh!

00:03:33: I don't know this but... It's super

00:03:35: interesting!!

00:03:36: I want to

00:03:37: watch!!!

00:03:38: Not because its shorter not because it is faster But because it looks familiar Because it something that reminds me of something Because it's something that makes me feel something.

00:03:50: And this is exactly where we're going to, because I've already talked about the change in consumption behavior.

00:03:56: We are now facing this chance and this change!

00:03:59: This change which is then a chance especially when we talk or two sophisticated buyers Because maybe you have experienced yourself.

00:04:09: You Are A Woman Who Knows How Precious Her Time Is.

00:04:14: You know how much money you can make when you use your time wisely.

00:04:19: And using your times wisely is not by scrolling for social media and consuming stuff.

00:04:23: the algorithm shows you just because you've watched that one video two days ago, or two seconds too long... ...you want to spend your time with what's valuable to you!

00:04:34: We have already seen this change.

00:04:36: Maybe you've heard me already talk about it, like think of Marc Jacobs who stopped creating usual commercials and started to create micro-dramas where he gets.

00:04:45: follow along the storyline.

00:04:46: And the back—the purse is main character and a side character at that same time.

00:04:53: so this story line isn't all about the bag because there's always some space in between them which becomes the status symbol for people wanting to have these bags.

00:05:02: But they felt like, that would watch their favorite show.

00:05:06: They'd watch a series or movie which is exactly what people want right now.

00:05:12: So we have this slight change in consumption behavior especially People who know how precious the time is Aka'a The people you want to attract because those are the people Who invest at highest tickets Because they always want the best!

00:05:32: Right?

00:05:33: So we see the slight change here.

00:05:35: Now, with Instagram releasing a serious feature of what happens What we already seen as a small group of people becomes more mainstream Because you have to change in consumption behaviors.

00:05:49: We can see these slight changes.

00:05:51: Then this serious feature comes into play.

00:05:55: People will start creating differently.

00:05:57: We already see that on TikTok, we have there much more things like they want you free episode one two three.

00:06:04: already.

00:06:04: people love to see things That are familiar to them.

00:06:09: where?

00:06:09: They know the world There they know the setting Where they know what's gonna happen with a slight twist.

00:06:15: so they still want to have something surprising Unpredictable but they know that it's a word they like and they will adapt to that even More which then leads to even more change inside consumption behavior and than we have like this cycle.

00:06:33: So, Instagram releasing the CD series feature will lead a massive change in consumption behaviour And it will shift from attention only Like every single post has to fight for attention.

00:06:49: Hello!

00:06:51: See me?

00:06:51: Look at me Watch me To anticipation.

00:06:57: I want to know what happens next.

00:07:07: And this is exactly where we are going and it's such great news.

00:07:13: when i saw the first things about the series feature, that also instagram is hopping on a train.

00:07:22: I was so happy to be honest, because right now most brands are just creating posts.

00:07:30: It's about posting and imagine or realize how much time you spend with posts like every single month!

00:07:39: How much time your team spends on it?

00:07:46: It sums up And of course is great.

00:07:49: that can create a post and know this will sell.

00:07:53: Amazing!

00:07:55: But what if the post is not only a vehicle anymore, when your content isn't just how you make sales.

00:08:10: What do I mean by that?

00:08:13: Imagine You would have something like a show inside of your brand which people know and love.

00:08:22: And when we think about famous shows for example, let's talk about friends.

00:08:27: Owning the rights on friends makes you a gazillion billion and less infinite dollars!

00:08:36: Why?

00:08:37: Because you can license it.

00:08:40: The moment McDonalds would sell a Happy Meal with friend characters by the side or as a toy if he'd have the right of friends to make money.

00:08:53: You can sell the license, you get paid all of that time.

00:08:57: And imagine thinking your business much bigger than the entire industry told you.

00:09:03: but it's not like social media.

00:09:06: content is just something I need to create in order too But become a thing which makes money.

00:09:15: Why are selling for you?

00:09:16: This exactly chance we're right now facing Because building intellectual property, making people return is exactly what brand shows do.

00:09:28: And this the way I want you to use and leverage the Instagram series feature no matter if your already have it or not It doesn't matter right now.

00:09:38: But build a Brand Show for Your Brand An Entire Show.

00:09:43: What do I mean when they say branch show?

00:09:45: a branch is a repeatable format people recognize follow and want another episode of.

00:09:50: so it makes A lot of things easier inside your company.

00:09:54: And also, It makes you brand much bigger because it's not only a thing off.

00:10:00: Oh there's Another nice content piece.

00:10:02: but People will see how serious You yourself take your brand.

00:10:06: Therefore They Will Take Your Brand Even More Serious.

00:10:10: And before I tell you what are the first three questions, You can ask yourself in order to create a concept for your brand show.

00:10:18: We need to talk about when A Brand Show actually makes sense For you because there Are certain cases and i brought free with me today where A Brand show has a massive impact on Your brand On your own impact on your sales on how we know you become like The entire demand around your brand.

00:10:37: And if you see yourself in only one of these three cases, then a brand show is nothing.

00:10:43: You should just think about it and maybe some when It should be the thing that your focusing on right now.

00:10:48: It should Be The Thing That Your Prioritizing Because Then It Can Be The Things That Makes You Blow Up In The Next Couple Of Months.

00:10:57: So Case Number One If you ever had a client showing your offer telling, I wish i would have joined earlier or didn't know that good.

00:11:07: Then You Know That This Is A Great Feeling Right?

00:11:11: So When You Have People Telling You I Wish I Would Have Hired You Sooner!

00:11:17: Or I Didn'T Know You Were Good Because It Sounds Like A Compliment But It Isn't.

00:11:24: It's in reality the proof that your content, you're marketing doesn't do a good enough job.

00:11:31: it does its job in way of people actually join offers but needs too many touch points until they realize oh this is great.

00:11:42: so ended up being inside your offer But took them way to long because otherwise would have hired sooner.

00:11:51: And also there are people who don't make the step, and therefore never come to a point where they're inside your paid world.

00:12:00: So I wish i would have hired you sooner is not a compliment.

00:12:06: it's proof that your brand needs its own show A Show That Shows Them No Coincidence How good your work actually is, how it looks like to be inside of the world so that they realize much faster.

00:12:29: Case number two If you're someone who attends life events if you are someone who spends a lot time on calls Someone loves conversations Who love's put herself in this room and realizes people buy them most when their experience like may it be on a live conference, maybe in calls or stages and rooms and conversations.

00:12:52: Also when sales cause is the best way you sell.

00:12:57: The moment people buy them most they experience your life.

00:13:01: That's not a sign of oh I have great charisma.

00:13:04: where people are with me They feel good.

00:13:07: It IS but not only that.

00:13:09: also then its proof that You need Your own show a show that shows people how it would feel like to be in the same room with you, because then they will buy much faster.

00:13:23: And don't always have to be on-the-course conversations of the room...to sell!

00:13:29: Because imagine if you could bring all energy and experience when meeting your life into your content, what then could become possible for you.

00:13:45: Unbelievable, right?

00:13:47: Case number three which is directly correlated to case number two your sales increase every time You show up more.

00:13:55: so when you personally post more on your stories When you talk more about Your offer when you create More content quote-unquote suddenly more people buy.

00:14:05: they Buy faster They buy more they buy higher ticket Which is great, right?

00:14:12: Because it means your content works.

00:14:16: But its not only that you're content works.

00:14:19: It's also the moment when you show up which keeps you kept.

00:14:26: If we would have something like a brand show You as the face of this brand and CEO who delivers inside me offers could become way more independent from the entire sales invisibility process.

00:14:41: And I think right now we are at the point that you're like, okay.

00:14:45: I've seen myself in minimum one of these cases.

00:14:49: Intellectual property sounds great!

00:14:52: Sounds amazing!

00:14:53: Brand shows a whole having an entire show and own show for my brand...I like that idea but How do I do that?

00:15:03: And i've already mentioned it, but i have inside this episode today three questions for you with me.

00:15:08: Which are the questions you should start with?

00:15:11: so if you haven't grabbed a pen already Do it now because these three questions If you answer those You may use steps Already Towards your own branch show.

00:15:24: Question number one And it's one of my most favorite questions, because this is something that people don't think about.

00:15:32: It's what deserves more screen time?

00:15:37: You're already doing great things in your business!

00:15:43: Many people won't even put on their vision board as they feel so big.

00:15:49: You have a big thing planned and you make decisions.

00:15:56: and you just haven't put a camera on it yet.

00:15:59: So when you think about your next thirty days, for example... Think of what are the things that actually happening?

00:16:05: That they're happening either way like a life event you're hosting or live conference You're attending something that you're launching Something where you travel to A project you working on Something we were like.

00:16:20: oh this is such big decision.

00:16:22: I'm okay!

00:16:24: Something's happening.

00:16:26: It will, because you're a badass.

00:16:28: You are a legend and the next thirty days something big will happen And maybe your in a state where like but it doesn't feel that big.

00:16:36: I do nicks all the time.

00:16:38: Have a look on your next thirty day through lens of Your perfect for client Through the lens of someone who doesnt as big shit As YOU do and ask yourself What at this is something worth telling?

00:16:50: Because when we think about shows, you have a business to run.

00:16:54: I don't want you to create something where like.

00:16:56: oh this is like the second job!

00:17:00: I want YOU to find a concept and away that actually fits your schedule That fits your vibe...that fits your energy.

00:17:08: And best way to come up with an idea for your brand show Is by looking at things you're already doing.

00:17:17: Question number two What's the repeatable setup?

00:17:22: I've already mentioned it, a brand show has to be repeatable.

00:17:25: So when you think about something like The Tonight Show for example the tonight's show You know what is going on happening?

00:17:31: You Know the setup!

00:17:33: You know this studio...you know they look and feel..You know the structure.... You know that different things are gonna happen.

00:17:40: just the guests variate And the thing They're talking About.

00:17:44: so What's the big Thing with A show Is That you have a repeatable set up Something that you can Repeat easily.

00:17:53: There's for example that great show called The Subway Tags, every single episode takes place in a subway.

00:17:59: or there is this great branch show around a coffee shop.

00:18:03: Every single episode it takes place on the coffee shop but It doesn't necessarily have to be like the same location all the time.

00:18:11: when you're like me For example who was traveling all year round full-time?

00:18:16: I don't have the same setting at the time.

00:18:18: What Is A Big Part of The Rock Show Of My Own Brand Show?

00:18:22: There are symbols, there is recurring music.

00:18:24: There's a storyline that goes through every single episode.

00:18:27: That is ramping up for a big announcement.

00:18:30: and one thing that repeats itself all the time Is...that it always has different locations.

00:18:37: Because right now as I'm traveling a lot.

00:18:40: also The repeating things can be oh where she gonna next?

00:18:44: So they have so many possibilities on how to do this.

00:18:48: Ask yourself if you think about your brand If you think about your life, what is a set up?

00:18:53: You can repeat question number three.

00:18:58: And this one of the best questions you could ask yourself no matter that topic No matter What it Is About It's What Do You Want Them To Want?

00:19:06: Because A Brand Show Isn't Only There to Be Creative Content Its Even That Only Quote There to be Intellectual Property Which Is Great and Amazing But it's also the thing that can sell your offers in such a beautiful and elegant way.

00:19:24: Why?

00:19:25: Because at this moment, your brand show evokes desire for the exact things you're launching next!

00:19:33: What is

00:19:33: happening?!

00:19:34: You just have to tell people what I'm selling now... And they are like, should she be selling that?

00:19:40: Not oh, she is also selling

00:19:42: THAT?!

00:19:43: They will wait for YOU to sell something like that.

00:19:48: And this is why you should know when you create the brand show, what do I want them to want after watching five episodes of these?

00:19:58: What should they internally actually want.

00:20:02: These are only three questions You can ask yourself to get started with your own Brand Show.

00:20:06: and if you want it right from beginning because we will see many people create Brand Shows until end of this year, because it's gonna be the next big thing.

00:20:18: Then you should join us inside Find Your Brand Show!

00:20:21: Inside Find your Brand Show.

00:20:22: I guide you step by step through all things to consider and create a show concept that fits your brand.

00:20:28: It is not about just having an event or something that fits our audience And your goals in as best way possible Because then You can Create The Show Concept That makes you known for your topic and creates demand For your brand & offers.

00:20:44: And I already mentioned it, brand shows make your brand bigger.

00:20:48: She's taking it seriously so i'm taking her brand what she has to offer and myself as her client much more serious and therefore becomes the most elegant way of how people build brands online from now on!

00:21:03: The great thing is that not many people realize this yet.

00:21:06: So think about AI.

00:21:08: It like first steps AI, when no one was using it yet.

00:21:15: We're still in the beginning of AI but even earlier than right now because Right Now you have the opportunity to get ahead off a shift The Shift Of Consumption Behavior The Shift How People Consume Content On Instagram And Also Being One Of First Person Brands To Create Intellectual Property Before Every Second Person In The Industry Suddenly Has Her Own Series Or Show.

00:21:41: And the great thing is you don't need a serious feature yet.

00:21:45: I personally do not have it either and still, i released The Rock Show already!

00:21:50: You don´t need a giant production because there are seven types of how-you can create a brand show which are completely different in execution but all make a good job and you dont'need more content.

00:22:03: It substitutes your content.

00:22:05: that has much bigger impact actually is.

00:22:11: It's already living inside your brand, you just have to find it.

00:22:15: and I wouldn't wait until Brandshows are everywhere To start figuring out yours?

00:22:20: I would not wait until You have the series feature Until you think about yours because Brandshow will be Everywhere.

00:22:27: And in the ten years i'm In this space...I've never seen a more potent possibility than that!

00:22:35: ...and I don't say things like That lightly.

00:22:37: I've already seen it for our own brand.

00:22:41: One of them just went on to create multiple six figure months in a row after we built a stronger world around her signature offer.

00:22:49: and when it comes to brand shows, the question is not what would be fun to post even though But it's not the thing.

00:22:59: It is questions of what should your audience associate with you because this will make money?

00:23:05: What deserves more screen time, remember question number one – what may come back to them as a big chance we have for brand shows?

00:23:12: that don't people wait until their algorithm shows content but they'll actively come back and see it!

00:23:21: And…what do they want more off?

00:23:24: These are the important questions because a goal isn't to create as show for the sake of having a show.

00:23:31: For being able to say, oh I have A SHOW!

00:23:35: It's To Find The Show That Does The Best Job For Your Brand and that is exactly what we're doing inside.

00:23:40: find your show.

00:23:41: You can find all the details in the link to sign up Inside The Show Notes.

00:23:45: And Don´t Sleep On This Because By The Time you Get The Feature The Instagram Series feature your series should already exist And now it's time for you to stop thinking like a content creator and start think like a producer.

00:24:02: Or, having great creative director & production team by your side!
